MEV, order flow & block production

What is a Mempool?

A mempool is a node's collection of transactions awaiting inclusion in a block. Nodes can have different views because of network connectivity, admission rules, and timing; a mempool is not a single globally synchronized queue of every pending transaction.

How does a Mempool work?

On networks such as Ethereum, nodes validate incoming transactions and may relay them to peers. Builders or block producers use available transactions when constructing a block.

What should trading bot developers know about Mempool?

Not all order flow is publicly visible, and not all chains expose an Ethereum-style public mempool. Solana's forwarding and leader pipeline should not be explained as the same global pending-transaction model.
